Going4Growth helps high tech company to secure new product funding.
The Task
Going4Growth was chosen by GM Optics Limited to develop its Market Engagement Programme covering planned product field trials and the market launch of its next generation fibre optic cable inspection and cleaning system.
The programme was required to secure the next stage of funding from GM Optics’ global distribution partner. This funding would enable on-going product development and help equip the manufacturing facility.
The Approach
Following an initial briefing of its business objectives & strategy and the product market opportunities & challenges, Going4Growth worked with GM Optics’ senior management team to prepare the market engagement programme. The programme covered a range of issues including the:
· Development of qualification criteria for companies to participate in the product field trial
· Identification of companies for the trial
· Scope, outputs and management of the trials
· Market launch programme
· Content of the marketing programme kit to support the field trials and the market launch.
The Outcome
The output from the 2 day workshop was summarised into a presentation that was given by the GM Optics’ directors to the board of the distribution partner. The expectations of the board were exceeded and, as a result, the additional funding was secured.
